    1982 gs850l seat

Are '82 "L" frames identical to '83? More specifically, would an '82 gs850L seat fit on an '83 gs850L.

They are different part numbers, but that doesn't necessarilty mean they aren't interchangeable.
Unless somone else knows for sure, the only way you could tell is to try it.

I would think it should fit. I have not done the 82 to 83 850 swap since I only have one 850 but I do know that in my case the 81 1000, 82 850, and 83 1100 L models all have the same seat pans. Suzuki was very good at changing part numbers from year to year even if the part is identical.

Thanks for the replies. I was pretty sure I could sewap out these seats, but I wanted to make sure. I am thinking my hunch is correct.

I think the difference from '82 to '83 was the stitching.

            The seat will fit fine.
