    Engine Mount bolts

Lost one and replaced it with a standard grade number from Ace hardware. Also torqued down the rest of them for the first time in years - duh.

Any opinions on keeping that bolt vs replacing it with a grade 7 like the one that fell out? I'm leaning toward replacing, because it's a grade bolt for a reason.

Also anyone know the specs of that bolt? My specialty bolt place is kind of a hike, and I'd like to call ahead to make sure they've got what I need.

    Thanks for any info!

Most Ace hardwares have grade 8 bolts (SAE), and a good selection of metrics. You should be able to find one there. I think the metric equivalent is stamped 7.5 on the head as far as grade 8 is concerned.

Metric grade 8.8 should be fine (it's similar to a grade 5 SAE bolt).

      Metric 10.9 = Suzuki "9" = SAE grade 8
      Metric 8.8 = Suzuki "7" - SAE grade 5
Metric 4.6 = Suzuki "4" = SAE grade 1 (no marks on head)

Thanks fellas, and thanks Ed, for the conversion chart, I'll keep a copy of that!

Yeah they didn't have the graded metric at ACE, but I'm pretty sure Fastenal will.

So with no mark, the one I have is a 4.6 and I need an 8.8.
