Cam Cover and Breather Gasket Source - Kits??

Before I go to Bike Bandit or ?? and order all the pieces seperately, where it's unclear how many of each piece I need (do I really need to pay $4-something a piece for the cam half-moon plugs??? ), is there a source for a good quality complete set of Gaskets and breathers for this task?

BassCliff, where did you order your "Real Gasket" set from??

    Thanks,

Bake Bandit is a last resort. Go to Z1 Enterprises. Good prices, and they know the old bikes. Also been here on the forums quite a bit lately. If it's on their site, it's in stock ready to ship. They can also get all the stuff everyone else has. Give them a call with any questions about quantities. Part Shark is usually cost competitive, but slower.

I have seen the half-moons ship in a set of four or individually. Just call Z1.

Get your Real Gaskets here. I've used them, and I've used the paper. I just barely lean toward the Real Gaskets. Be very careful not to over-torque.

How to get a "What's New" feed without the Vortex, and without permanently quitting the Vortex

      Sets

The sets of 4 'half-moons' offered on Ebay are aftermarket parts...which may be fine but I'm not using them. I'm getting ready to order a number of things and got a price of $3.44 each....with cheap shipping.

(I've got a new breather gasket but I've never seen any reason to replace the old one.)

I made my own breather gasket. Use some good flat pliable oil resistant gasket material, put the breather on top (oil the sealing edges to make a pattern), trace around the outside and cut it out. You can use a single hole paper punch to make the bolt holes.

          Hi,

See your "mega-welcome". Or click on the READ ME file on my website. BikeBandit is OK, but it's just about the last place I order from. Most parts I order are from Z1, Partshark, and CyclePartsNation.

          Thank you for your indulgence,

I need to learn to read further down the page... or get off my lazy thumb and use the "find" text command!

I checked out REAL Gasket and they don't appear to sell the breather filters or the half-moon end-plugs. Z1 doesn't have any of it listed on their site, but I'll call today and see if they have the set available.
