No Drive Shaft Boot - HELP!

Hey guys. I would love your advice here. I have a gs850 that has no drive shaft boot. It's completely destroyed and now off the bike. Is there a way to slip on a new boot without messing with moving the engine? If not, I was thinking about making my own custom boot to at least keep the big chunks out. Bad idea?

Remove the rear wheel, remove the final drive, and remove the driveshaft.

You should be able to wiggle a new boot in there.

Order up new driveshaft flange bolts when you order the boot, or at least re-install them with Loctite. (New bolts come with a thread locker compound.) These are very important, very highly stressed, very strong and very unusual bolts -- do not substitute.

Simon, the boots are still available from Suzuki.
