    bolt size?

I have a 83 gs550e i changed the front fairing over to the es style. I am haveing a heck of a time finding the right size bolt for the fairing bracket. They are the upper bolts on the neck/tube, where the tripple tree bolt to. I have bought every metric bolt I can get my hands on and none fit. May have messed up treads but wanted to ask.

    Thanks

Why not order the OE bolts from Suzuki? Or measure the thread pitch and diameter?

    To measure is to know.

If you're talking about #28, I'm willing to bet its the same for my 1100ES bracket:

part numbers different in the fisch from 1100-550 so might not be same.

If you look up the suzuki part number, it will often tell you the pitch and size. If is labelled xxxxx-08165 it is a 8 x 16 mm bolt.

I look at Alphasports, they seem to be the fastest.

Beware, they are also the most expensive.

I agree, they are not cheap. I wanted to say their website seems to be the fastest loading and easiest to navigate to.

              Thanks guys,
I am very aware of ordering oem parts from the microfiche and I already tried that and received the wrong bolts, completely wrong. I have also found there are a some mislabeled parts on these and that is depending on what site you go to. I know I should have clarified all this but hopefully waterman and niclpnut has answered specifically what I was looking for.

              Thanks
