Sounds like stator papers time but I would also look real close at your hoses and make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks there. But yea, check your electrical stuff.

Did you ever read up on the link to Basscliff's site I gave you in your first thread? If not, go there and read and even hit the "In the Garage" page on the main GS Resources site.

Yes I did look at the stator check and it does need to be replaced. my question I have is it possible the issues Im having now is linked to the stator. if not what other things do you think it could be clogged air filter?

Check that, check your vacuum hose from your petcock, verify your throttle cable is not hanging up somewhere.

Did you run through all of the stator paper tests as best you could? When you replace the stator then redo them again.

I don't remember but when was the last time you dipped the carbs and replaced all of your orings? Did you replace the intake boot orings as well?

I will check all of those things. I have never dipped the carbs or replace the orings. or the intake boots or orings. this seemed like a random issues so did not think to. do you think I should? and I will do that thanks.

Go back to Basscliff's page and re-read the READ ME page. Those ten to 15 items NEED to be addressed if you want a well running machine.

Based on you saying you have not dipped your carbs, I would think maybe your jets are clogged up pretty good. Don't short cut the dipping process by thinking you only need to spray carb cleaner in there. Take them off the bike, disassemble them, dip each carb body and the metal pieces in the Berrymans for 24 hours each, blow them out with cleaner and compressed air, run a wire through each jet, and reassemble them. Make sure you bench synch them, do the valve adjustment, and do the final synching.

Failure to spend the time properly taking care of that bike now will make your problems worse as you go along.

Ive had a similar issue a year ago when it would lose all power and would die on the high way.. I would just start it back up after a while and it would be just normal intill it happend again.( it would die like I had no gas but I did) it does not do that anymore just when im alittle over 3/4 throttle it jerks and slows down alot I think it might be the sound of missfireing but I dont know. does that still sound like carb issues or could it be something with the ignitor?

Do the maintenance that was recommended first and then we can go from there as it will be easier with a good benchmark.
