Ordered OEM parts for 82 gs1100glz,
You will need to also order the part the tachometer cable attaches to, this will allow you to simply complete the installation. I am talking about the fitting the cable screws into. It has a single mounting hole that attaches to engine.
Both cables were replaced fairly easily and are giving me solid readings for speed and rpm.
I sprayed a little wd 40 up into gauges before attaching new cables.
I pulled cotter pin on front wheel lug and backed off a couple turns to allow easy access for front tire speedo gear, it spun down to allow easy removal of cable.
