Front master cylinder
'78 GS750E front master cylinder. I would like to do a rebuild on this unit but it does not appear to have the snap ring mentioned in the manuals. I can see a ring down there but there are no holes for the snap ring pliers to attach. I'm baffled.-Mal

Use a small needle nose and see if you can get under it, try moving in a circular motion along the inside edge of the clip. Once you get it started it should pop right out.

That circlip is a real barsteward to get out. It was rusted in there and I eventually broke it.
I bought the K&L repair kits for both the rear MS and the front, which are different, but come to find out that the internals of both are identical. I tried to use the K&L kit for the front but I could not get it to fit. So I used two rear repair kits!
OK that's done.....on to the next thing.-Mal
