I know an oil pressure indicator light will come on if the oil level is LOW, however does anyone know if the light will blink occasionally if the oil level is too FULL? Thanks in advance for the info. Happy riding, JOMII

How are you checking your oil? Is it on the sidestand or on the centerstand?

In an extreme case, yeah, it could come on if too full.

The switch for the light responds not so much to oil pressure, but to oil flow. If there was way too much oil, it would be beaten into a froth by the spinning crank. Oil froth will not produce enough flow to turn the switch off, but, since the oil pickup is at the bottom of the pan, you would have to have nothing but froth in there.

Not sure the pump would even pick up the froth to move it around, but I just can't imagine having that much froth inside the engine.
