    Bad rear brake master cylinder?

So last night I went to change the pads on my rear brake. I got the old pads out fine (one of the clips shot off, but was recovered) and while i was taking a look at the pistons in the caliper, I decided to see if they were frozen by pushing on the back brake pedal. They didn't move. I did get them to move in their bores by hand though. So I checked to see if there was enough fluid in the reservoir, and it looked ok. While kneeling down next to the bike and pressing the pedal, I could hear what sounded like air leaking from the master cylinder. I'm thinking it is shot.

Are they rebuildable? Or can one buy them new or rebuilt? I didn't find much on a search here for master cylinders.
