    Replacement Seat Foam

    Hi All

My 1979 GS750E's seat cover and pan are in outstanding condition.... the seat foam? not so much.

I've searched the forum/web and it seems that the best alternative is to buy the seat foam in bulk and carve it to the shape of the original foam. True?

    Thanks, Tim

    Hi Tim.

I found this site http://www.diymotorcycleseat.com/index.php (posted on another thread somewhere) to very very informative on the subject of foam for seats. Go through all the sections, read up on the differences between open and closed cell foams, then have fun putting your own preferential mix of layers together

Don't forget to take and post pic's for all us bystanders...

This might help too, http://www.pandkclassicbikes.co.uk/ there was a place that flogged me a brand new ready made seat foam for my 1000, it was expensive but it was really good. If i find it I'll post it up

Don't say can't, as anything is possible with time and effort, but, if you don't have time things get tougher and require more effort.
