1977 GS400 Front MC replacement
I'm trying to select a suitable Master Cylinder for a 77 GS400 from Mikesxs. My concern is that the brake lever or the brake lever adjustment screw on many of these models might interfere with the engine stop switch assembly. I've noticed that the stop switch assembly on my Yammy has a sort of a cutaway or relief which provides for the adjustment screw on the brake lever. The GS lacks this relief. Does anyone know if this is an issue?
Any help would be much appreciated!Tags: None

I've got different 'bars on mine that lets me move the MC assembly far enough away from the controls that it's not an issue, although I have a later 450 also. It did take some fiddling to get right.
I've got the 13mm stock size one from Mikes XS on mine.1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie

I had to leave almost an inch with the stock screw - this was difficult with Daytona bars. My remedy was to cut down the screw past the lock nut, then cut in a slot for adjustment. Spacing is about 1/4" now. Will try to take pics later if I can. Of course you can also move the throttle assembly out a little bit.

I'm uploading photos now but the gap is about 15mm which is just over half an inch.
I'll post again once the photos are uploaded...1982 GS450E - The Wee Beastie
