How do I remove the oil pan from my GS450E?
This may seem like a silly question, but for the life of me I cannot remove the oil pan to replace the gasket. I have removed all of the bolts and it still won't come off. My bike is a 1983 GS450E. Is there a secret to this that I just can't figure out? Thanks in advance for any input.Tags: None

Carefully pry the pan loose after the bolts are off. The gasket is stuck.
If you resort to sticking something between the pan and the crankcase, go easy or the sealing area will become damaged.Ed
To measure is to know.

Thanks guys!
Also, thought I'd post a picture. Just got the body pieces back from the paint shop today. Can't tell from the picture, but it's a pearl paint with a pink undertone so it changes in the sunlight. It's my wife's Christmas present. Her birth stone is pearl and she said she wanted a pink bike, so I thought a tri-tone pearl/metallic pink would be cool. Just a couple more little things and it'll be ready from Christmas!

Haha, noticed during preview that the GS450E is in the bed of my pickup in the background of the 2nd picture. That's what color it was prior. Faded, rusted and dinged up.
