    New motor compatibility

If it's a chain drive GS1000 engine, it pops right in, you will have to make a couple motor mounts. The 1000 engine is lighter and smaller in every dimension that the 750 engine.

Dollars to donuts, the 80/81 is a shaft drive G motor. That would be no joy in Mudville. I never heard of a chain drive 1981.

        Whaaa? The 1000 is smaller?
        That's good news in Backwards-ville!

          Lower, shorter, lighter. Go figure.

They eliminated a few pounds with the kick starter.. Great swap. Make sure it is a chain drive motor.

I have seen 16 valve 1100's in 1000E frames. How difficult is that?

Pops straight in. Bottom bolt holes don't line up, that's all.
