    Stripped threads on "transmition shaft"

Whats the correct name for the shaft that holds the small sprocket.

Previous owner didnt use a bent washer (bad english) to secure the nut. But he punched 3 holes where the protruding shaft meets the nut, deforming both and causing stripped threads as the nut has been replaced.
I imagin its a larger operation to replace that shaft. Can the part be optained?

I didnt find Anything searching the forum, becaus I miss the correct term for the part.

I call it the "driveshaft" since it drives the sprocket that moves the chain. Unless you are very ambitious, you might want to contemplate rethreading to a slightly smaller size to get enough bite .

Official Suzuki name is indeed "Driveshaft". P/N 24131-45001

Best bet is to purchased a used transmission assembly. These parts are typically very durable so risk is low purchasing used.
