    oil change?

    I have a 80 gs850g..should I change to Mobil diesel delvac 1300?

    That oil would be fine. Diesel oil is good stuff for GS's.

        Use The Search feature Bud.

        Oodles of information on what type of oil to use, everyone has their own personal opinions on what oil is best and why. As long as the oil doesn't say energy conserving on the bottle you'll be good to go!

        Personally Run High Mileage Mobil 1 Full synthetic 5W-30 in my B-12 and Shell Rotella Full Synthetic 5W-40 Diesel Motor oil in my GS750.

            1980 GS 750E Bought new in Feb of 1980
            2015 CAN AM RTS


            Stuff I've done to my bike:dancing: 1100E front end with new Sonic springs, 1100E swing arm conversion with new Progressive shocks installed, 530 sprockets/chain conversion, new SS brake lines, new brake pads. New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong.

              Rotella works fine! And it's dirt cheap. Haven't had a single issue... no clutch slip... no leaking... and all's well.
