    Awesome. Looks like a 0.5"h x 0.5"dia spacer for a 1/4" screw will do the trick. Just have to grind the chamfer into it. Thanks for the measurements, this is going to be a much cheaper endeavor than I once feared.

      Well, for anyone still interested, I was able to make a pair of these from aluminum unthreaded spacers, 0.5"h x 0.5"dia made for a 1/4" screw (similar to this: http://www.mcmaster.com/#cadinlnord/92510a765/=le6imb)

      I didn't have a lathe, so I just mounted them in a drill press and ground them with a file. Not as nice of a surface finish, but they do work just fine.

        I have just dug out my small lathe and gotten some new belts for it. Might have to try that piece.

        Anyone else needing some?
