Master Cylinder Rebuild Questions
My 89 GS500 has a front end off of a 95 GSX750F Katana.I ordered a master cylinder rebuild kit and it's the right kit for the original Nissin 14mm master cylinder. All the Katana 750's I have robbed parts of of have 5/8 inch Nissin master cylinders.Anyone know what Suzuki models came with Nissin 5/8 master cylinders?

GS's with dual disc front brakes have 5/8" master cylinders. I'm not sure about other bikes but there are a number of threads on this topic in the archives.Ed

Please keep in mind that just because it's a 5/8" diameter master cylinder does not mean that just any kit will work in it.

The master cylinder came from a 1995 GSX750F Katana. After doing some research, the 89-97 GSX600/750F Katana use a 14mm master cylinder. My master cylinder is a 5/8 which, from my under standing,is pre 90's Suzuki motorcycles with twin disc brakes.Maybe Suzuki carried this over into the 90's to reduce inventory or use them when supply was out on the 14mm units. It's all I can come up with and it's a wild best guess at that.
