    82 GS650GL - Center stand question

Just curious - is it normal for both wheels to be on the ground when the bike is on its center stand? I thought the front wheel was supposed to be slightly raised. The surface I have it on is not perfectly flat so that may be part of it, but it's a relatively level garage floor.

Most bikes rest on the center stand with a forward weight bias, regular (non 'L') 650g's actually have the rear wheel about inch-and-a-half off the deck, the 'L' s have the rear tire much closer to whatever your parked surface is, nearly a light contact.

Yea, my 550 still has the rear wheel on the ground when on the centerstand. Just stick a 2x4 underneath the stand when you need to raise the wheel.

How long are the rear shocks?

If longer shocks have been installed, the rear wheel will hang a bit lower.
