Hi, I'm new to motorcycling and would like to know what type of oil I should use on my 1980 GS1000. Also, what are the proper steps I should take for filling it up?

1. Cross thread your drain plug
2. Over tighten the filter cover nuts and strip a stud.
3. Burn yourself on hot exhaust pipes.
