Choke cable lengths... '79/'80 S models
Anyone know if there's a length difference between the OEM choke cables for a '79 Cooley and an '80 Cooley? Parts fiche show different #'s... but i'm assuming that's for the different fittings for the choke actuator on the carbs.
Thanks for any info.Tags: None

'79 is VM carbs, '80 is CV. Most likely a different cable.Ed
To measure is to know.

Yes they are..but we converted a set of VM29s so they would accept the Cooley cable end for the 79 VM style cable. The thing he is experiencing is a 2 fold problem...wrong cable end and its about 3 inches too short. So if he can find the length to the 79 and compare it to the length of his existing 80 cable, he will have better info to devise a strategy to adapt a cable.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)
