Properly measuring handle bars
Hey all. I need to order new handle bars for my 80' 1000G. The last time I did this I wound up with the wrong bars as I'm not exactly sure how to 'correctly' measure the pull back, height, etc... Anyone have a simple fool proof way. I'm not ordering OEM I was just going to order from Motorcycle Superstore or something like that.Rob

I think you'll find like I did that the manufacturing tolerances on the "bikemaster" style (there are a few brands but I think they are all made at the same place) bars are not that good....
Although you order a certain measurement the bars can be way off when they arrive.
Should give you an idea.
Personally I like the Daytona bars or the Euro bars (Euro have a bit more sweep back in the bar at the grips but sit a little lower to the triple).
The set I'd like to try are the Grand Prix bend bars..1980 GS1000G - Sold
