How do I join Shim Club?

    Hi Guys
I'm in New Zealand and have a 77 wire wheel GS750. Can I join the shim forum ... will you post to NZ ... where can I get the special tool to depress the tappets. Happy to pay and send back the old shims. Cheers, Colin

Send a PM to member Ghostgs1- tool is available lots of places; I have it, but I think the zip tie method is easier unless you have three hands!

I also have "the tool", but really prefer to use the zip-tie method for removing shims.

Since you are getting ready to do your valves, be sure to check out my sig.

If you know how to do it right, the tool is MUCH easier.

          Greetings and Salutations!!

          Hi Mr. GT750KIWI,

I, too, am a "tool user". But the zip tie method is popular. For your reference:

I knew there was a reason - I was doing it wrong!
