That was there from day one..just a mill mark. Possibly the bit picked up a small chip and ran it thru there.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

So... I honed my cylinders and they came out pretty good except for this

      Looks fine in the sunlight

But there is some light pitting in two of the bores

When I run a finger over them I can barely feel them in some spots but it's there. Is it something I should get honed out, trash it, or just throw it together and not worry about it? If it needs a honing I don't want to be buying oversized rings/pistons I already have brand new rings.

I posted these in my build thread, but I figured this would get more traffic.

Looks like the bike sat for a long time. Marks where the rings sat. Doesn't look right to me, but hard to say from just a photo.

Yea there are some pronounced rings where the pistons were. Went back and I could catch a fingernail on one part, ugh. It must have been sitting in a garage for a long time (it was really clean on the outside) but it must have gotten some moisture in two of the cylinders.

I'll be searching on eBay tonight I guess.
