    Sprockets and mystery parts

While I was changing my sprocket I found a spacer on my LH cover and it was broken , I went to see on bike bandit if it was possible to order but it's discontinued and I am missing the lower spacer, it wasn't there when I took off the cover

I am talking about part 16 and 14 on this link, what are my options??

I would see what you can find on ebay. It is used on any other bike besides that model? Can you fabricate or at least make a pattern from the one that is broken and have one made? In the parts listing it is described as a cushion. What is the part you have made of? If it is rubber then you should be able to make one.

If its rubber I would just find a piece of rubber and cut out a new one. Not sure where you are located, but most home centers sell small pieces of rubber sheet in the plumbing section. McMaster Carr will most certainly have rubber sheet in pretty much any thickness, hardness and material needed to make the part.

There are literally thousands of rubber grommets, spacers and such. Surely there is one out there that would fit, or could be made to fit.
The trick is to find the place that would have the largest availability to choose from, like maybe an AutoZone or Discount Auto in the help section, or maybe Ace hardware.
Also, maybe a nylon or teflon piece would do as well or better.

            Rubber cushion

Not sure but I've got two gs750 engines - 1 has it - the other does not. I would try test fitting it without and see if everything works without it. I do not believe it has any oil sealing function. I would snug the case bolts down slowly carefully and listen watch for any signs of case distress. However I'm no expert.

hey guys the upper cushion is necessary tried to fit the cover without it and it left a huge gap the lower cushion was replaced by a set of washers by the previous owner. Good news the upper cushion is usable and repairable, for the lower one if the motorcycle scrap yard don't have it I will improvise.
