    New speedo

I tried to use the search before I posted and I really hope this is the right place. I was working on my 81 750E and got the tach cable replaced. I started it tp make sure it worked and part of the speedo came off. The glass (plastic) has been off since I bought the bike. I was just wondering of 100 bucks is the going rate cause that is all that I have found.

Are you sure there's no way to fix the one you have? I've read of people making new "glass" for theirs out of Lexan from Home Depot.

If you stake out eBay for awhile, and aren't too picky about the condition, you should be able to pick up a working one for about half that.

Also, go find the part number for the speedo and check the OEM parts sites to see what other models might share the same speedo and search eBay for those too. Suzuki often used the same clocks across several models of the same and neighboring years.

Last but certainly not least, I recommend posting in the Parts Wanted section here, you'd be amazed at what some GS owners have kicking around in their parts bins.
