    Carb O-rings?

Just a quick question. Are there supposed to be O-rings on the backs of the carbs that slide into the carb holders or is the notch just for the lip in the carb holder to slide into?

What????? You mean the rubber holders that the carbs mount in? Bolted to the engine?

There are orings in the bases of them..between the flanges and the engine only. There are raised ridges molded into the rubber that click into the groove on the carbs throats if thats what youre asking.

No rings. Notch is to grab the ridge in the carb boot.

Take a bungee cord and pump up the front brakes and wrap it around the lever to hold thew brakes. This helps to keep the bike from rolling off the nstand as you wriggle the carbs into the boots. I also drop a rear foot peg and get my leg in front of it for added leverage.

Be certian you "feel" the ridges slip into the grooves on the carbs. A little dab of water on the carb throats will help lube them for the process of getting them seated in.
