The larger taper puller has smaller threads on the puller.

Get the 4 way universal puller...Put it in, tighten it down, and give it a smack with a hammer as you hold up the opposite end from the end in the rotor. They pop right off.

That puller WON'T work on an 1100E! The 1100Es have EXTERNAL threads on the rotors, therefore, requiring an INTERNAL threaded puller. Please know what you are telling someone to spend their money on will work for their application. Ray.

First you should have a Flywheel holder to get the nut off. And the right puller like Ray said. And never take a hammer to your Crankshaft! There only pressed together. Thats how motorcycle mechanics do it.

                    This was an answer
The large taper end crank (big end crank) uses the smaller ID puller. The part that threads on the rotor is smaller then the small end crank.
They list both since the 82-83 1100s had both. Find a puller for the 84-86 GS1150 and you will be golden.
