cylinder honing
Do to a broken head stud, I was forced to remove my head and cylinders with just over 9,000 mile after a ring job. The cylinders look good, should I just put it back together or re hone it and use the same rings?

I'd throw it back together as is unless the compression was bad. Honing again removes metal from the cylinder wall and forces the rings to wear, two things that are bad on a good running engine.Ed
To measure is to know.

I did not hone the cylinder. I just cleaned the pistons, cylinder head and put her all back together. She runs like new! After replacing all of the cylinder studs, nuts, washers and new gaskets, she started up on the first push of the starter button! It started like I just turned it off a minute before.
Thanks again for everyone's help!
