    650GL vs 650L

What is the difference between these 2 styles.

My 82 Manual says 650GL. The bike seems to match. the side covers say 650L. so im guessing maybe the original broke and this is a replacement or something.

approx how much back bar around the seat? anyone got one to spare?

it seems this bike had a sissy bar and back seat placed on it, so im guessing the orignal back seat frame has been lost.

I think all of the 650Ls were shaft drive, which makes it a GL. They just didn't put the G on the side covers.

All of the chain drive 650s were E models.

Life is too short to ride an L.

      Yup, what he said.

I don't think that any of the GL bikes (650, 850, 1000, 1100) ever had the G on the sidecover, just the L.
