I really want to get some storage on my bike to make it a little more versatile without breaking the bank. Anyone tried it with this seat?

Saddle bags
Any reason a set of "throw over" saddlebags like this wouldn't work on the 650L?

I bought the cortect ones this year. they're pretty good. Those look nice as well. You'll want to keep them off the shocks. I'm told the shocks will tear them up.

We have what is essentially "throw over" saddlebags on my wife's bike. They are leather, not Cortech, and they are fastened under the seat, not thrown over.
I am rather surprised how well they have held up (8 years, so far), especially considering the extreme amounts of negletct that have been heaped upon them.
Feel free to click on the link in my sig to see them.
If you are looking for something in a hard saddlebag, click on the link for my son's "Rat Bagger". We adapted some old Harley bags to fit.

Ive used a set of soft saddlebags for years, for our yearly trip. I bought them many years ago, last minute before a solo trip to Rochester NY. They hang from 2 velcro straps over the seat, and also have lower clips to keep them from flapping around over bumps. For local riding, I use one on top of the passenger seat. In a couple of pictures in my album they are on the bike.sigpic
When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

I have Tourmaster set I like. Shocks have not torn them up, but the bags have worn the black paint off the side of the shock springs
