I hope I put this in the right place. Why the heck is my oil sight glass foggy? I just replaced it last year and I think it was clear for maybe a tank of gas. Any ideas? I do make a ton of short runs maybe it's just moisture or something? Oil doesn't get hot enough? Ideas would be awesome! Thanks!

I think you nailed it, short trips never gets the water out. They can stay clean for decades, most of the old ones are fine. Some get black crap on them from running old oil way too long.Originally posted by thkbaron View Post -
Moisture not evaporating is the cause. Drive it and it long enough and it should go away.Comment
