Understanding Tire Size
I have a 78 750 and the manual suggests a rear tire size of 4.00H-18. Now the bike has a 130 on it now which is way too big and I figure that a 110 will be okay. The way I understand it you would divide the 110 by 25.4 and that will bring the measurement to 4.33. What I can't find an answer to is what the "H" stands for. Speed Rating?

This site has more info on tyre size conversion charts, speed ratings, load ratings etc.
ALWAYS use the exact tire size, type, speed and load rating recommended by the manufacturer of your motorcycle. Never try to second-guess the designers and engineers with regards to tire size, type, speed or load rating! Use the information on this page for general reference only and not for choosing motorcycle tires.
