I found the nut I dropped down the cam tunnel

This is off my 82 GS1100G. I lost a nut down my cam tunnel last year and been putting off stripping the engine... I did all sorts, I tipped it upside down and shook it, took off the sump, fished around with a magnet...... nothing worked till I got my camera.... check out how good they are.....

    Great find!

Where it is sitting, it's a good thing you found it.

Wow, that tool has potential for all kinds of situations. Did you manage to get the nut out of there yet? Looks like 100% certain mechanical mayhem if you had just hoped for the best...

With a long enough camera, you could do your own colonoscopies!
and God said, "Let there be air compressors!"

I am just awe struck by technology today. It's crazy you can hook that thing up to you phone. Good luck getting it out, should be a lot easier now.

It's smoke that make electronic components work.
Every time I've let the smoke out by mistake, they never work again.

Awesome that you found it without a tear down. I feel your stress, I once dropped a valve shim on my 97 ZX-9 onto the head and had a similar experience, except the cam chain tunnel was plugged with a rag. Took a couple of nights of poking around with a magnet before I finally found it. Until then I was freaking out that I was going to be pulling the head and stripping things until I found that shim. It's a great feeling when you hear the "clink" as the magnet finds what you are so desperately searching for.

That camera was worth every penny of the $100 just to know where that nut is sitting. Great picture quality, too.

That is the one that I have.

                    Works decently-well.
