Gs 850 engine removal
Has anyone pulled and installed an engine by laying the bike on its side and lifting the frame off ? Saw it on You Tube. I pulled mine out the side, but I figured when I paint the frame its going to get scratched up putting it back in.Didnt look like such a bad ideaTags: None

No matter how you do it (on the side or upright), scratching the frame is pretty much inevitable.
You can try to minimize the carnage by covering the frame tubes with plastic split tubing intended to be used for shower curtain rods.
But no matter what, you'll need touch up paint.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.
