Back wheel locked...wth?

    Even more important, did you clean out the compensation port (which can be done without rebuilding the master)?

    If that compensation port is plugged, it will not allow fluid from the caliper to bleed back into the reservoir as it gets heated from the friction of the pads rubbing on the disk. Since the fluid is expanding and can't get into the reservoir, the only place it can expand is to push on the pads, which can lock up the wheel.

      Which was my initial thought as well Steve. Still check the bevel gears as well though..to cover all bases. AND also do the full monty on the FRONT system as well. His brother can just be well pleaed that it was the back and not the front!!!

          Failing the change the brake lines can cause failures like this too. Hope its an easy fix.
