GS1100 Secondary Drive rebuild

According to the "exploded view" of the secondary drive, it appears that it has bearings and can be rebuilt. Has anyone ever attempted this before?

Find another good used unit. They can often be found for about the price of just ONE of those bearings. And a whole lot easier to install.

About $150.00 to your door for the necessary parts from Deland Suzuki. You need 2 of #3 and one each of #18 & 22.

Heat the bearings in an oven @ 350 degrees for about one hour while placing the gear shaft in the freezer for the same hour and the bearings should slide right on with a little oil on the shaft.

I need #14 as I broke it removing it
