    Torque settings for head

ok so i am looking at the torque table, and need to clarify some things

there is a setting for Cylinder Head Cover Bolt i am guessing this is what we call the Cam cover aka the rockerbox cover - 7 - 11Nm

next is Cylinder Head Bolt 7 - 11Nm and Cylinder Head Nut 23 - 27Nm - being as these are so vastly different i obviously don't want to get this wrong, so can someone explain to me which one is which on the engine, as to me they are all studs with nuts, although 4 of which are domed nuts (2 on each end) the rest standard.

Hopefully you guys can help me with this critical question

    Thanks in advance

You're going to have to clue everyone in on what bike you're working on.

Yes, knowing the bike usually helps, but this terminology seems to cover all the models.

Do you have smaller bolts on the outer edge of the head (between the two domed nuts)? How about a small bolt that holds the front edge of the head to the cylinder block? Some bikes have them, some don't. If you have them, they would be the "bolts". Note that they are only M6 bolts, so would have the lower torque values. The 12 studs that hold the whole assembly together would qualify as the "nuts" that get the higher torque. I believe they are M8 on your bike.

Feel free to add a signature that shows the bike you are riding/working on. That way you will not have to remember to add it to every post, it will already be there.
