Is the valve lash on an 1150 the same as an 1100 4 valve ?

Don't have a shop manual yet, could someone tell me if the 1150 valve lash is the same as the 1100 4 valve motor ? Also does anyone know of a source for the valve cover gasket for an 85 1150 besides the dealer, tried Z1E. Thanks

.005 on both sides will work pretty good.

Use the OEM gasket, you'll be glad you did.

New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong.

          1150's have rubber reusable gaskets..
that and the 8 rubber coated biscuits should be replaced and the cam caps should be heli-coiled to avoid future problems...just stating the facts mam.

                .003 I/ .004X is quieter -- lash can be .002 ~.006 without hurting anything -- .008 is noisy -- .000 will burn a face/seat/lobe/rocker

glue the rubber seal into the groove of the cover and let cure - it is the best thing you can do for yourself and working on your 1150.

I have an 1150 factory manual....until you get your hands on one, i can help you out if you need any specifics.
If I recall, Trevor had a PDF of the same with the intention of having added to the archive here or Basscilffs.
