VIN Number Location 1980 GS850G
I'm having issues trying to find the VIN number on my 1980 GS850G, I've found a frame number and an engine number, but I can't figure out how I'm supposed to register the bike without the actual VIN. Any help?Tags: None

Suzuki started with the now-standard 17-digit numbers for the '81 model year.
If your DMV or license bureau doesn't like the shorter format, tell them to drag themselves out of their chairs and come out, take a look at the bike and trace the number on the frame for themselves.
By the way, the frame number and the engine number never matched, just in case you were wondering if it was a replacement engine.
