Oil Pan Bolts Torque Setting
I am restoring a 1981 GS550T and need to know what the oil pan bolts need to be tightened to with a torque wrench. Searched high and low for an answer in the posted threads with no luck!
Thanks!GS550T 1981

The answer is in your factory Suzuki service manual. Look in section 7, Tightening Torque of the GS550 manual. Get the manual from Basscliff's website if you haven't downloaded it already.
One caution, the listed torque is the MAX. I'd go slightly below the listed number. You can always increase torque a little later if you get a leak. I say this because a lot of guys strip out the threads in the engine case because their torque wrench isn't calibrated or the threads have weakened. You need an inch-lbs torque wrench for these low values too. Consider this your warning.Ed
To measure is to know.
