RK Chain 530 Master Clips!!
Hi Guys I just recently changed Tires and chin and sprockets on my new to me 1984 1150 .I did buy 3 extra master clips which was fortunate as 2 broke right in half (the retention spring steel clip that locks the clip in place) I have been a Bike owner for many years and have never encountered such a issue as this before, I think the item was never drawn back or annealed. Just wished to mention this as I feel they aren't safe to even use. Im sorry I bought a RK chain, I usually bought tsusabakis and never had issues whatsoever and also Nitto chains, Anyhow just wished to give a heads up and let people be aware of this Issue i found. The shop gave me credits towards new ones but...Im staying away from rk for now. MikeTags: None

If you don't use a link compression tool, you can bust those easy. Invest in the compression tool for clip master links. I did and it is very worth it. Once you get the clip in place and seated, apply a bit of silicone over the link. You'll never lose one. Just extra insurance is all.sigpicMrBill Been a GSR member on and off since April 2002
