It's the internet and sometimes good-natured ribbing doesn't across as such. Calling someone a dick isn't exactly taking the high road, either. However, I've seen friendships cemented after worse starts.


If you can forgive any real or perceived insults, let's try to get at why you are asking the question in the first place.

As many of us surmised, you are actually trying to adjust the idle, not the choke. It's an adjustment that shouldn't be made on the fly, and if you are doing so, there is another issue with your carbs.

It's likely a dirty carb(s), paired up with an improper synch, but there are other potential issues you might need to explore.
