At least it wasn't a 140 speedo. (Let me know if you need my old 80 unit.)
1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

Hmmm, rolled a bike out and knocked over a gallon jug of used motor oil in the garage. Somehow the lid was not on the jug at the time. All over the 450's front tire. Should make for an interesting ride. I think I'll ride through some snow to clean the tire.

These keys belong in the possession of the building engineers of the office building I was working in today. Went to walk the dog tonight and found them in my pocket. Now on the rare event of me working at a job literally 5 minutes from home I have to get up before 5 and take them back tomorrow morning.

got an XL125 from a guy.. traded a refrigerator for it and $100.
got it home, unstrapped it and it promptly fell over and dented the tank.

took my GS850L for her first test ride up to the gas station. Noticed that the kick stand was a little sticky and wouldn't spring back up out of the way. Had to kick it up there with my foot. So far so good. Got home and started thinking to myself that I didn't see if the speedometer was working. So put the leathers and helmet back on, started it up and tried to kick the kickstand back up. Foot got hung up on the shift lever and down we both went in the garage. Only damage I can see so far is it broke the front turn signal lens. I now have a bruise on my left butt, scraps on elbows and shin and my shoe was stuck under the bike and with a full tank of gas dripping all over the garage floor. Got mad and embarrassed and just went in the house to asses the physical damage. Never did see if the speedo is working.... Have to wait until tomorrow....LOL
FYI.. they will keep running even when laid out on the ground!

I know exactly what you are talking about. Some days it seems as though we just cannot get out of the way of ourselves.
