    Oil Drain plug Brute force?

This sounds like a dumb question, even as I type it, it sounds dumb.
Was going to squeek an oil change in on a 1979 GS750e while working on my car.
The filter is a non-issue to get out, but I have put almost enough force to start breaking something on the 13/16" drain plug, and no glory.
On these bikes, are they normally this tough? I don't want break something by stepping up to more then a standard ratchet, but I can not get that sucker to budge.

There is a crush washer that fits on the drain bolt that should be changed at least occasionally. Some people never change them though and in addition, they torque the crap out of the drain bolt to stop any leaks. Your only reasonable option is to get a breaker bar and have at it. I strongly advise using a 6 point socket instead of a 12 to avoid damaging the bolt head.

I got it off with a couple love taps of this mini sludge on the end of a cheap ratchet (not mashing my good tools with a hammer). Was a 6 point and it came out. Previous owner siliconed everything, so she was probably torqued and stuck. New washer already in hand along with gaskets
