    81 gs850 valve clearance

Finally got my bike running after a carb rebuild and new intake boots. but once the bike is hot and i turn it off to restart it, it will not start back up. im thinking it may need the valves shimmed. i havent checked the measurements yet because i have no idea what the spec clearances are. Ive tried to look on here and google but cant seem to find anything. Does anyone know the clearance specs for exhaust and intake? its an 81 GS850

Go here and pickup a copy of the factory service manual. That will give you the specs and the procedure.

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.;)
