    Loose footrest rubber

The rubber part of the front left footrest is loose on my 82 GS1100EZ. Doesn't try to fall off, just rotates on a long ride.

Trying to figure out what sort of glue to use on it. I was considering epoxy, but have to see if it will stick to rubber (and not destroy it).

    Any recommendations?

I'd just buy a good footpeg.

If the glue doesn't help (the rubber may be shrunken and hardened with time) you can still order the footrest rubbers from Suzuki.

Good weather proof adhesive should do, but you need to let it set for a while. Also a thin wire or electrical cable, just thick enough not to cut through rubber, looped around just tight enough in one of the grooves of the foot peg.
