GSX750ES : Best value for money drive chain

Correct me if I'm wrong but X-Ring, W-ring and all the other gazilion $ NASA technology seems way over kill for the 86 hp GSX750ES.
This very chip chain is more than enough, right ? ...

I can't speak for motorcycle chains, but my daughter has a 300cc ATV (CVT) that I bought brand new and I had to adjust the chain about 3 or 4 times in about 4 months of riding, so I bought a better chain (an EK or something) and haven't had to adjust it in a year and a half...
So there does seem to be some quality differences in the quality even on low hp applications. I think those "RK" chains youre looking at are pretty decent.

Was the chain you had to mess a lot with an O-ring ?

Its an Arctic Cat DVX 300 (made by Kymco) and it came with an O-ring chain. I replaced it with another O-ring or X-ring... I don't really recall. ATV's really need the sealed type chains to keep the dirt out allot more than a street driven motorcycle.

That ebay chain looks like a great bargain. Hard to go wrong at that price point. You may want to ask him if it comes with the connecting link. That looks like an older and now discontinued model and not all the connecting links are the same.

I believe you get what you pay for. I always get mid grade o-ring chains, they last longer and need less fiddling with.

I asked the guy to check if the package has a connecting link.
This is the type of link I need, right ?

As I said before, not all connecting links are the same. You will have to measure the chain width and pin diameter and then get a link of the proper size. I say this from experience since I once purchased a chain without a link and wound up struggling to get one of the proper size. Main thing is the width and pin diameter.
