Hi I am going to tour Portugal in July for ten days so will be clocking up mileage what's the general opinion
of running the oil to three thousand miles?The big guy up there rides a Suzuki (this I know)

Do it, don't worry about a 3000 mile oil change, she can handle it1978 Gs1085 compliments of Popy Yosh, Bandit 1200 wheels and front end, VM33 Smoothbores, Yosh exhaust, braced frame, ported polished head :cool:

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.

I agree, 3000 miles will be a piece of cake.
If you are worried about it at all, use synthetic oil.
