1985 Canadian GS750ES need help with buying parts.

Hi to Everybody.Especially gurus of that forum need your help a lot!

My post related to Suzuki GS750ES 1985yy produce, I assume it is rare bike for this forum because there is almost nothing about that specific model) with nice half fairing ( with some lost parts got it like that...)
Need collective brain and help. Instead of creating multiple topics in different categories I just will post it here. Might be at the end nice for the others to use too
I'm in troubles of choice, have read tooons of posts but still in dough's where and what to buy. I'm doing season service on my beloved bike + want to upgrade/change some parts for better. I'm not aggressive rider mostly touring, but like to enjoy twist of throttle some times.
    Here is a list

    1. Brakes
a)Original are ok with me, I just need advice what brake pads to buy and where. Did some research what is the best? Organic. semi-ceramic or ceramic? I do not care about resource of disks.
    b) Where do you buy stainless still lines?
    c) Should I install emulators on antidive and where to get them? It seems not leaking but does not seems working either

    2.Suspension
    Forks and rear shock
a)I probably will go for Sonic, just not sure what parameters to choose
    b) Rear monoshock - My big headache, Last time I just add oil to original and it seems kind of worked for a season, not leaking etc. but it feels to "stiff" for me. even with passenger
Which one to choose and install for budget, not chinese chipo but not a superexpensive(I know Ohlings are perfect)...?

    c) Was out of luck finding dust "caps" for the fork, can somebody throw a link on them for me please please please.

    3. Wheels and bearings
a)I had front wheel with huge disbalance last time, fixed it on balancer but I'm not 100% sure, which one better to buy, just looking for same replacement.

b)Bearings front and back. Which are the best to go?

    4. Transmission
    a)Sprockets front/back
What ratio to choose? Looking to slightly decrease highway RPM, is it worth it? Because of the small vibration around 5-6k RPM most usable on interstate...over long distance hands were going numb...made 2k miles from Toronto to Boise in 5 days, very nice ride!
Have a new chain with old sprockets, I know it is not cosher...at that time had no choice.
b)need clutch and advice which one to buy. My thoughts are around that rubber/plastic dumpers which gone over the time...should I weld busket? or just go for new one?
as I suspect that's what gives vibrations and rattling noise on the low rmps 1000-900, like ddrdrdrdrdrd, slightly up and all noise gone

    5. Speedo cable...where to get original one or one which fits?
another story of headache, because I used non original cluster first and ended up with broken speedodrive + cable...
Now I got original, but cable broke.

I hate for posting, mostly reading here, nut all this dough's drive me crazy and season is coming. Will really appreciate any help, can bring some beer in exchange) to some who is local to Boise)

I'll answer the ones I'm sure about:

    Brake lines

    His ebay auction.
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/APEX-Stainless-Steel-Brake-Hose-Line-Lines-GS750E-GS750-GS-750-Anti-Dive-1982-83/401498212024?hash=item5d7b2886b8:g:HgcAAOSw4D5akhF V&vxp=mtr
He's great. Just confirm the length of your front Master Cylinder to splitter line because it is different from the 750E.

I just did emulators and sonic springs. Highly recommend.

You can just delete the anti-dive line. (Two less lines to buy). It will tighten up your front brakes and improve the ride and handling. Then you can just leave the anti-dive units in place or create or buy block off plates. I made block off plates but if I had to do it again I would have just left the units in place. Some people think they are ugly. So much easier to just leave them.

Sonicsprings.com has a calculator to choose spring tension. Rich Desmond is very knowledgeable and will probably post once he sees that you are asking about suspension.

I had a 700ES but the monoshock was good so I can't help there.

Some good fork seals and dust caps:

    That's it for me.

    Best of luck.
    Gary

Thank you! I'll just block antidive then, because to me it seems like it's not working and I have not will or wish to mess with them. Also I had big problem trying to find dust caps last time ended up using rubber sleeve probably from control rod from some VW or smthng like that, with zip ties on the top of the leg, works fine but looks not so... I hope it will work this time. Thank you one more time!

You should be able to just remove the anti-dive line and move the "banjo" bolt for the single fitting from the anti-dive unit to replace the one on the caliper which would now be too long since there is only one fitting left there.

You can see some pics of the one I did a few years back...

(Link to pics if you can't see the linked one http://s6.photobucket.com/user/salty...0679482&page=5)

I used a Ducati Monster M900 Shock. This shows the Ducati spring but it was way too hard (it came just about into range when I had my nephew on the back so 320lb ish total!)

            page again: http://s6.photobucket.com/user/salty...0679482&page=9

I put the stock spring on & cranked up the adjuster as the spring length is different but it fits & works fine. It's tough to adjust this shock once fitted. You need a couple of washers for one end of it to take up the space where the axle goes through & also need to relieve the casting mark (split line) on the top of the eye. 30 secs with a file. Removes about 1mm of material...

I will take a look on them. My shock seems not to be dead, it is actually working, but last year it was kind of empty on oil after 25 years of use))) so I just add some 10w30 with help of suringe and needle through the rubber gasket on the top of the shock there is small alain set screw after removal of it, it was possible until I felt shock start working again. So shock starts damping fine and works well. But my problem is it feels very "stiff", and I can feel road through it) so probably viscosity on the oil was a little bit too high).

I feel like Necromant sometimes making things alive which suppose to be dead...
